About 2 months ago I was going through emails and working remotely and when I came across one email in particular, and it broke me down. Right there in the middle of a hotel lobby coffee shop...

You've saved the money, reserved the venue and photographer, and even said, "YES" to the dress. The big things are taken care of (phew!) and you've turned your attention to the next round of details, wondering where can we cut back so we can upgrade our honeymoon flight to first class.
Wedding invitations may be entering your mind as you go down the list of to-do's. You've searched Pinterest and a few online shops, but haven't found "the one" yet, and are wondering if the investment is really worth it.
The short answer is, yes.
Here are three reasons why you should invest in your wedding invitations.
You just bought your first place together, and want to upgrade your home from the leftover college hand-me-downs, to a cozy and modern place that looks like both of you. The problem is...
you have no idea where to start.
He likes bulky black leather furniture, and you like light and bright marble finishes. He wants a huge TV over the mantle, and you want your engagement pictures proudly displayed.
All couples go through this, and it's important to value each others decisions to come to a compromise. But sometimes you just need that outside perspective that will be able to bring it all together with a good mix of each personality.

Beachy. Moroccan. Moody. Vintage. Bohemian. These were all of the words that were used to describe this styled shoot.
Are you intrigued yet?
You're prepping for an important work meeting, catching up with an old friend for drinks, and trying to figure out the maze that is wedding planning. Your week has turned into one crazy, non-stop hustle, and you can barely slow down enough to enjoy a week night in with your sweetie to binge watch all the shows that you've missed.
It's exhausting, right?
And the LAST thing you want to do is go to the grocery store to wade through the crowds of other exhausted and multi-tasking career men and women, who are just trying to pick up dinner so you don't have to order take out for the 3rd night in a row.
I'm tired just thinking about it. And if you are like me, I HATE meal planning! I just have some sort of mental block that when it comes down to planning out the week and deciding what to eat each day sounds exhausting.
I like cooking, but hate the planning. It's the "chore" aspect of it that I just continue to resist.
I'm here to tell you the simplest solution of all solutions, that will immediately free up your mind and your week...

Nicole and Bryan came to me from somewhere out in the social media wonderland, and I'm so darn happy they did.
Nicole has so much energy and excitement, and they were both SO in love. Nicole knew that she wanted an invitation suite that would accent her designer gown and gorgeous chandelier-filled reception hall when sending it to their over 300 person guest list! She knew she wanted pinks and maybe some green, and wasn't a fan of too much cursive.
I met Andrea through a mutual friend when we worked on a logo for Maple Tree Education together (you can see that post here), and since it went so well, Andrea hired me to complete another logo for her "side" business as well.
I highlighted "side" as I did because with all the good work she does through her center for couples in Hawaii, it deserves no less attention than her main career path does.
In her own words, here is a brief description of the Hawaii Surrogacy Center...
The sun has set and the ocean breeze has chilled the guests, but the memories of Jen and Mike's wedding are still warm and fresh in our minds.
I had the amazing pleasure and honor of not only being a bridesmaid, but also stationer for Jen and Mike's New Jersey Beach Wedding. It's not often that I am so involved on both sides, but for Jen, I'd do anything.

Have you ever had one of those friends that instantly upon meeting them, you feel like besties? Well when I met Alyssa, that's how it felt.
Alyssa had come to me for a logo for her personal blog (blog/teaching resource/creative nuggets of wisdom for the kiddos), and in the midst of designing that logo she brought another client to me through her professional contacts.
Enter: Maple Tree Early Childhood Education, and the school's director, Andrea.
Working in the wedding industry is a crazy, exciting, and very emotional thing. We get to be a part of the very best days in a couple's life, and it is an incredible experience to take part in. I've worked with and met many other members of the wedding industry, but the professionalism, enthusiasm, and passion that emits from Teresa from the very first email is what sets her apart from the rest.
Read more about Teresa, our project together, and why this was one of my favorite projects of 2016!
In an embellished ball gown, Joanne walks down the aisle to meet her soon-to-be-husband, in a church full of their friends and family. Their elegance and love is apparent as they say I do to each other, smiles as wide as their hearts.
We created a super elegant and jaw-dropping invitation suite with rich navy blues, blush and ivory accents, and rose gold foils as the stunning centerpiece...just click here to read more, and see the final suite!
As I sat down to write this post, I was staring at my notebook that has the below quote, and thought about how perfect it is to start off this project.
Be bold. Be charming. Be sharp. Be generous. Be silly. Be amazing.
This perfectly sums up Alyssa, who is an early education and theater teacher, arts enthusiast, and pretty much the sweetest person you're ever going to meet. She has started a blog that will inspire and give resource to parents, teachers, and artists who want to add creativity to their lives through their kids.

You may remember me talking about a Valentine's styled shoot last year that had everything to do with Kate Spade. You can read about it here, and as you may notice, I was just a LITTLE bit excited about it.
I mean...did you SEE those inspiration boards?!
Well it's almost Valentines Day again this year, so it's fitting that I finally follow up with this today. In the post I mentioned that I'd show you the final products of this Kate Spade Valentines Shoot...
It started with a few weeks of "I'm too busy" and then went to a few months of "I should really get back to that", and then I actually sat down one day to prep a whole bunch of posts...
My family has been known to dumpster dive (with head lamps), and drive big trucks wherever they go because, "you never know what you will find on the side of the road". You could say that we're just a bit looney tunes, or you could also say we're a little bit obsessed with good deals and finds. Either way, what you SHOULD be saying is how much you wish you could be a part of my family, because, we're all pretty awesome.
Over the weekend my mom, aunt, and sister came to visit me and new bride Jendy for a thrift shopping day of fun! (yes that's totally a thing.)
Read on below to find out the secret to thrift store shopping and family bonding...
Ashley Macadam is a creative wedding and lifestyle photographer based here in New Jersey, who is heavily influenced by the beauties of nature. We found each other through a local networking group, and I knew we would be great together because, among other things, we both have a slight obsession with red floppy hats...

Hello, my name is Chelsea, and I'm addicted to all things Kate Spade.
From the black and white stripes, to the bold pink florals, to the tiny gold bow-shaped paper clips, the Kate Spade brand definitely has my heart.

Hint: It's a bucket list item that I never thought would happen!
If this name sounds familiar, it should! Just last week I posted about a styled shoot that I was a part of, with none other than...you guess it...Shannon (soon to be) Ensor! She is engaged and will take her husband's name once married, which also means she would need to change her business name so there's no confusion as to who she is. She decided to take this opportunity to not only change the name of her business, but to also re-brand her business to be more in line with how she sees herself, and the clients and brides that she wants to attract.
Beautiful things are happening around here, and I'm so excited to share them with you! Brent and Melissa are such a fun-loving (and married) couple who, though I have not met in person, just emanate love, life, and laughter. They wanted an excuse to get back into their wedding day best, and I was part of a team of talented ladies who helped to make it happen!
This shoot is a little bit vintage, a little bit fuchsia, and a whole lot of cuddly goodness. There were berry and wine colored florals mixed with vintage china, and patterned linens. Just imagine a fresh layer of snow, plush cable knit blankets, and a warm cup of cocoa with your special someone...I mean...could it be any more romantic?!
I met Jaye at a Rising Tide Society event this past summer, and was immediately struck by how cool she is. She's a central NJ wedding photographer who moonlights as a singing and guitar-playing musician in Nashville...really?! Talk about sharing the creative wealth with the rest of us! She has such a strong creative drive, and did I mentioned the beautiful photography? That ring shot? Just go check her out on Instagram to see what I mean. I promise you won't be disappointed.
One of the things I love about meeting other local creatives is the potential for fabulous collaborations. We will be working on some Christmas and Holiday goodies together soon, so stay tuned to both of our Instagram accounts to see what fun stuff we will come up with! Photographer meets designer...the possibilities are endless!
Have you ever seen a logo or brand that you just absolutely love, and think to yourself, "how did they do that", or "I want that"? It all starts with that spark of inspiration, and I am here to give you a little behind the scenes peek into my own personal branding inspiration, as well as some tips on how you can tune in to what you really want your logo to represent.

Hey there all you pretty people, I started a blog! Just wanted to give you a quick introduction to the designer behind the brand (hint: it's me!), and what you can expect to see here in future posts.
